SFIE offers six levels of intensive English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction as well as TOEFL, TOEIC, GMAT / GRE and TSE preparation courses.

Each ESL course covers the full range of skills (reading, writing, listening, comprehension, idioms, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation) in a friendly, supportive manner. While the bulk of the course work focuses on real world English, we also offer a Level 6 class with a college preparation emphasis.

As an official TOEIC Test Center, we help you demonstrate your English language prodiciency for use in the workplace. We prepare you for both the Listening and Reading sections of the test.

The TOEFL and GMAT / GRE courses prepare students with a skills and strategy based approach, necessary for future academic coursework. For TOEFL students, we offer a free weekly practice test.

We are also an official TSE Test Center. Tests are offered monthly.

The Communication/Test Strategy course prepares students for the TSE and IELTS. Emphasis is on picture/chart interpretation, announcements, listening, speaking, pronunciation, and test-taking strategies.

CERTIFICATES/DEGREES OFFERED
San Francisco Institute of English issues Certificates of Completion when students finish their coursework.   Special recognition certificates are awarded for outstanding effort and attendance.
